What is Print Trail?

Print Trail is a complete print-on-demand, warehousing, fulfilment and e-commerce service designed for publishers, authors, agencies, bloggers, and training companies. We handle everything from printing to delivery, allowing you to sell printed books and publications directly to customers worldwide.

Who can use Print Trail?

Print Trail is perfect for publishers, authors, agencies, bloggers, training companies, and anyone looking to sell printed products online without the hassle of inventory management, order processing, or shipping logistics.

How do I get started?

Simply request a quote through our website. We'll discuss your requirements, set up your e-commerce site, and handle all the technical integration. Once set up, you can start selling immediately.

Printing & Production

What printing options are available?

We offer both print-on-demand and bulk printing. Options include softcover and hardcover books in mono or full colour. Print-on-demand allows ordering from just 1 copy with no maximum, while bulk printing offers lower per-unit costs for larger quantities.

How long does production take?

Print-on-demand softcover books typically take 5 working days to produce. Hardcover books may take slightly longer. Bulk printed items stored in our warehouse ship immediately upon order.

Can I switch between print-on-demand and bulk warehousing?

Yes! You can start with bulk printing for titles you know will sell well, then switch to print-on-demand when warehouse stock runs low. This flexibility ensures your books never go out of stock.

E-commerce & Website

Do I need my own e-commerce website?

If you don't have an e-commerce website, we can create one for you. If you already have an e-commerce website, there's a good chance we can integrate with it to collect orders.

What platforms are supported?

We integrate with WooCommerce, Shopify, and many other e-commerce platforms through Zapier. Note that Squarespace stores and TikTok stores are not currently supported.

How much control do I have over my store?

You have full control over your content, products, pricing, and design. The store is branded with your domain (e.g., shop.yourdomain.com) and you can customize it to match your brand.

Orders & Fulfilment

How are orders processed?

Orders placed on your website automatically flow to Print Trail. We process them at the facility closest to the shipping address, print or pick from warehouse stock, package, and ship directly to your customer. Order status is automatically updated.

Where do you ship to?

We ship globally from multiple distribution centres. This local shipping approach reduces costs and delivery times. We ship to most countries worldwide - contact us for specific destinations.

How are returns handled?

We handle all returns according to your policy. Return costs include the original shipment cost plus a handling fee. We manage the entire process so you don't have to deal with customer service issues.

Pricing & Payment

What are the costs?

There's a one-time setup fee, then most other costs are only due when when books sell. Costs include fulfilment fees, packaging, storage (for warehoused items), and shipping. We provide detailed pricing upon request. Monthly admin fees apply for ongoing service.

How do I receive payments from customers?

Customers pay you directly through your e-commerce site via Stripe, PayPal, or other payment processors. We invoice you monthly for our fulfilment services - you keep the difference as profit.

Are there any hidden fees?

No hidden fees. All costs are transparent: setup fee, per-order handling, per-item pick & pack, packaging materials, storage (if applicable), shipping, and monthly admin fee. We provide full pricing details upfront.
